Sunday

by Navvaratri, of Satyananda Yoga Center, Bihar School of Yoga Teacher
Certification & Satyananda Yoga.) Hatha Yoga traditionally
only consisted of these practices for cleansing the internal organs
& anatomical systems. Removal
of mucus, bile, worms, toxins, wind, tensions can result in the regulation
& balanced functioning of organs,
systems, emotions, mind, energy (prana) & spirit; hence removal of some
illnesses. 6 = Shat; Actions or practices = Karmas. The doshas referred to in Ayurveda
and Yoga: Kapha, mucus; Pitta, bile;
Vata, wind are brought into balance with each
other & regulated. These are powerful practices and should
not be learned from books or inexperienced persons.
Only those taught to teach these practices from an
experienced person who has the blessing to teach these to others,
may teach these practices and also then
have the blessing & proper guidance to do so.
There are many health restrictions
which apply to individual limitations
& needs. Traditionally there were many practices taught and performed differently. However, today the mind set and needs of people have changed; so practices taught today
are geared and catered specifically to our current needs and mind set. This is not a workshop for you to teach the shatkarmas,
merely for your personal information
and growth in the science of yoga. Yoga Teacher Training Certification is necessary
from Satyananda Yoga to teach these practices. www.yogavision.net or www.biharyoga.net
