Yoga Capsules introduced into yoga sadhana by Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati, successor of Swami Satyananda Saraswati, to incorporate yoga on a daily basis into our lifestyle without major adjustments, for good health, happiness, harmony.

This seminar will include an introduction and and short meditation on SWAN, an acronym for Strengths, Weaknesses, Ambitions, Needs; also introduced into yoga sadhana by Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati to help manage these and for growth at the physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual levels to live a fulfilled, harmonious, integrated life.

About Us

Based in Austin, Texas, Satyananda Yoga Center is a non-profit organization, 501(c)(3), committed to teaching yoga to all ages and levels. The professional and knowledgeable instructors teach yoga authentically, comprehensively. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced level student. The teachers have more than 25 years of teaching experience with Yoga teacher certifications from Bihar School of Yoga and Satyananda Yoga®. The teachers are constantly on track with continuing education in yoga. This means the yoga teachers are of quality and their training in the yoga sciences is of a very high standard. The teachings are authentic.

Yoga teachings of Bihar School of Yoga, Satyananda Yoga® use practices in a traditional way, asanas (poses) to balance the body and mind through the physical body, pranayama (using the breath, expansion of life force) to work on the energy body (equated with Ki or Chi in other systems), Pratyahara practices such as shavasana, yoga nidra and meditation to calm and focus the mind. Tensions, toxins, impurities can be removed with these practices. It also takes a broader outlook by teaching and encouraging yogic lifestyles, not only for renunciates but also for those living in society and lay practitioners.
